In 1994, my life took a radical … after living separated from God, and seeing the way in that He rescued me, I dedicated Him my life in gratitude and the He gave me a special purpose. I began to work with gang members, drug addicts, thieves and people that didn't know about our God. Through this, I started working in jails and hospitals (and had to attend to many funerals also) and getting myself among their relatives.

I arrived to this neighborhood without even knowing where I was entering. The more I knew the families, the closer I felt to them, and that was how we begin to have meetings of biblical study and prayer. During these meetings, the children accompanied their parents. I had to witness incredibly painful events in their lives, and that took me to pray: "Lord, help me to prevent this, instead of having to heal it". The answer of God was to dedicate my life to those children, giving them an integral attention. God directed me to open the School for "prevention" so we can love, heal and give the kids better opportunities.

What began as a feeding program for 10 kids, -3 days a week, is now a full time ministry that supports more than 100 families by feeding the children, basic care in health and nutrition, scholarships, school tutorships, recreational walks, sexual education, access to 3 computers and teaching of the Scripture.

We are a Christian non-profit organization, dedicated to fulfill the physical, educational and spiritual needs of the children enrolled in our program, and their families. Even those that are not in the Program, look for us. We have the help of volunteers in the area of health and in social activities. Day by day God has been faithful in helping us to help here at La Limonada.
